There are many people who would like to write a book, but not many actually go through with it. For a high school student in Kansas City, Missouri, however, publishing books is a way of life. He already has four and is working on his fifth!
When Tomie-Mickai Williams was only 10 years old in 2015, he published his first book, Mighty Boy. Since that time, Williams has continued to be busy writing, with 3 more books already published.
Mighty Boy is part of a two-book series, and he is working on Spirit Swords, which is his new series. Two of the books in the second series are already written and he is working on the third.
William says that he gets a lot of satisfaction out of working on something for a long time and then finally finishing it. As reported by KSHB Kansas City, in his words, there’s “nothing that comes close.”

The books that Williams writes are fiction and tend to revolve around superheroes and villains. It isn’t just about writing the books, according to the news outlet, he also says that he knows how to market his books and is learning more on the subject. His father was instrumental in helping him to put together a commercial to promote his book, which is being sold on Amazon, Apple Books, and Barnes & Noble.
Williams said: “Sales so far have also been pretty good and I got a review earlier on Barnes and Nobles. It was a 5-star review – they liked it.”
Over the few years that he has been writing, Williams has faced challenges and continues to be an inspiration to others. He enjoys writing and plans on continuing as an adult.
“My advice to other people would be, if you really want to do something then there’s no reason that you can’t. Just go out and do it. There’s nothing that can really stop you.”Whizzco
