7-Year-Old Motivational Speaker Travels The Country & Shares His Passion For Reading

Master Caleb Stewart, of Tallahassee, Florida, may only be seven years old, but he is wise beyond his years!

He travels all around the United States spreading his wisdom and sharing his large vocabulary and love for reading.

He has been reading since he was two years old, and began making speeches when he was only three. One of his speeches even went viral when he was just four years old.

His mission is to motivate other kids like him to read, too.

During his motivational speeches, he shares that reading has made him smarter, as well as strengthened his vocabulary and language skills. He says that reading can improve children’s long-term memory and enhance their ideas.

He hopes his speeches will also encourage parents and teachers to read aloud to kids, which is a great thing to help them develop.

Not only does Caleb travel the country making his speeches, but he has also founded a nonprofit called Master Caleb’s Discovery Library, a pop-up library that delivers free books and reading materials to kids of all ages in the county. The pop-up library is located in a towable trailer and has books for kids from pre-k all the way to 12th grade.

Before cutting a ribbon to officially open his pop-up library, Caleb addressed members of the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, the Capital City Chamber of Commerce and his pastor, along with family and friends.

“Our goal is to get more books into the hands of kids unlocking every child’s reading potential to comprehend and retain any text placed in front of them,” he said. “We will encourage them to have confidence and know that it’s OK to ask for help when reading unfamiliar words.”
