Twelve-year-old Nailatu Al-Quasm of Nigeria has the good fortune of being one of the few girls attending school in the region.
Estimates show that over 10.5 million children in Nigeria are out of school — partly because of a lack of access, and partly because education in the area is seen as a form of Western corruption.
Thankfully for Nailatu, she is a part of a more progressive family, wherein education is not only allowed, it is insisted upon.
Although education is incredibly lacking in Nigeria, many citizens also suffer from extreme hunger and poverty. Help eradicate hunger in Nigeria and other African countries by supporting Millennium Promise in their effort to plant fruit tree seedlings in 80 villages across 10 countries with a Gift That Gives More™.
