There are two types of people in this world, those who love math and science and those who struggle with it. Alexis Loveraz is one of those who loves it and he is quite good at it!
Currently, Alexis is studying at Harlem Prep High School and has a 4.0-grade point average. This Junior is doing the same thing that the rest of us are doing at this time, staying home and trying his best with remote learning.
As it turns out, he is good at remote learning as well and can even lend a helping hand to those who may struggle with those subjects.
Some friends of Alexis’s wanted some help with their chemistry, algebra, and geometry. They asked him for assistance, so he posted his help on TikTok. CBS2 reports that he has over 600,000 followers and 6 million likes on that social media platform. Alexis simply said that he was “really shocked”!

Alexis continues: “Things that they probably forgot like before COVID-19, this is like a refresher of what I’m, like, giving them out. It’s really cool because they understand it even better the way I’m explaining it to them.”
Perhaps the reason why he has such success is that he has some mad teaching abilities. In fact, some of the comments on his videos say that he teaches better than the teachers that are paid by the school system.
It isn’t just his peers from Harlem High Prep School who are benefiting from his tutelage. Thanks to the viral nature of TikTok, students from around the world are benefiting.
In order to make sure he is posting the most relevant content, he talks to his audience. That feedback helps him to choose his next video. He also has begun posting on YouTube and Discord, as well as offering lessons on Google Classroom.
He even helps his viewers with three-hour live sessions on the weekends. His mother talks about how he is helping many people and she couldn’t be more proud. According to CBS2, she said: “I’m excited about this. I know he can do this and more. I’m so proud that he helped a lot of people.”
All of the lessons offered by Alexis are free of charge. They are there to help any student or even those who just have a curiosity and want to know more about math and science.
