Man Surprises His Favorite Teacher After 21 Years In Prison

We can only imagine how difficult it must be to spend time in prison, let alone spending more than two decades behind bars.

That was the experience of Michael Lacey, who spent 21 years in prison, but now that he is out, he decided to meet someone special to him.

Lacey planned on making a visit to Ms. Rice, his prison GED teacher. He had run into her roommate during a photography gig and they connected, so they decided that a surprise was in order.

Lacey got her address and shot a video as he surprised her.

That video has gone viral on TikTok with well over 6 million views.

As it turns out, Ms. Rice has helped more than 300 inmates get their GED. She was his favorite teacher out of all that tutored him in 21 years. It was quite a reunion, and they had the opportunity to catch up.
