Book to Screen: J.K. Rowling’s The Casual Vacancy

Slated for the miniseries screen last year, J.K. Rowling’s first book post-Harry Potter, The Casual Vacancy, is about to make its debut on BBC1. Though an American airing has not been announced, HBO co-produced the series which features life in a small English town after the death of a significant resident. So, it’s fair to assume the story should be making its way stateside at some point.
